I liked the whole circus themed poem...enjoy!
My heart
Is an acrobat
Tonight.
An entire three-ring circus
Contained in one
Beating form.
Watch
As it begins to juggle
Five, now eight,
Now twelve.
The crowd is amazed.
The contortionist
Twists in ways
Unimaginable to most.
The onlookers cringe
In pain and disbelief.
Over there
Climbing into…
Is that a cannon?
With an explosion
The body flies through the air
Spinning , soaring
Falling. Landing.
Look up!
The trapeze begins to swing,
The artist flying and twirling.
A final release
Dazzling flips and spins,
But the grasp slips
The artist falls
The onlookers sit on edge,
Left breathless.
Except the only spectator
Is me.
And it isn’t so fun
When you can’t breathe.

A morning walk under the midnight sky...
I rather like this one...thats about all I have to say. Haha. I like, so...enjoy!
A morning walk under the midnight sky,
You and I walk hand in hand.
Or at least in my mind.
And as we sit
Staring at the sky
I grab your hand,
But cannot hold it.
Tonight fades into morning
As I watch the sunrise
Reflected in your eyes.
I wrap my arms around you
Saying it’s to share warmth,
But I think we both know the truth.
This morning walk has gone on for hours
And as we lay on the ground
Searching for the hidden stars,
Feeling the rain touch our skin,
I tell you how I feel
Without saying a word.
But that is all I can do.
You have captivated me,
Trapped me in a forbidden fantasy.
Though perhaps
It might still come true.
Perhaps.
A morning walk under the midnight sky,
You and I walk hand in hand.
Or at least in my mind.
And as we sit
Staring at the sky
I grab your hand,
But cannot hold it.
Tonight fades into morning
As I watch the sunrise
Reflected in your eyes.
I wrap my arms around you
Saying it’s to share warmth,
But I think we both know the truth.
This morning walk has gone on for hours
And as we lay on the ground
Searching for the hidden stars,
Feeling the rain touch our skin,
I tell you how I feel
Without saying a word.
But that is all I can do.
You have captivated me,
Trapped me in a forbidden fantasy.
Though perhaps
It might still come true.
Perhaps.
