Growing Up Never Was Easy

This is actually a song I wrote. And one of my favorites too! I'll let you listen to it sometime even though I only have crappy recordings.

You take me down to the river,
You make me swim on my own.
I’m thrashing with a mouth full of water.
You stand there and don’t do a thing.

Do you hear what I’m screaming?

You watch as I roll off the tracks,
I wonder if I’ll ever get back.
Wish I knew what you were thinking,
But for now I guess I’ll drown.

You buy me a brand new bicycle,
And take off the training wheels.
You put me on and give a good push
And watch as I careen down the hill.

Do you see all my bleeding?

You watch as I roll off the tracks,
I wonder if I’ll ever get back.
Wish I knew what you were thinking,
But for now I guess I’ll crash.

I don’t know what to do without you leading
But I know that with you, things will bring pain.
Well at least you have a plan, I know mine’s destroyed
Make me into a better man.

You watch as I roll off the tracks,
I wonder if I’ll ever get back.
Wish I knew what you were thinking,
But for now just take me home.

I just want to go home.
