I watch as the moon...

Another one I rather like. Its a very nice, dark reflection on my life. Just a point of clarification...I talk a lot about "another bed" and things such as that in my poems, but that's simply my poetic license, cause I'm a virgin...I take liberties. Haha. Like they say in the movie V for Vendetta, "artists use lies to tell the truth." Just wanted you to know that...enjoy!

I watch as the moon
Chases the sun from the sky,
As the clouds
Drive the warmth away.
Silently, the snow
Conquers the land.
Bleak, barren,
And cold.
This is a familiar place.
I stand watching it all,
But they take no notice of me.
I must find my place
In this cycle.
Though so meaningless,
It is the only meaning I can find,
So I hide in the warmth
Of another bed,
Another embrace
To call my own
Even if only for one night…

I search for a flower
In the snow covered field.
Maybe then
Someone would understand.

Wandering through the night
Feels so secure.
Alone again,
But it isn’t so bad
With the darkness
Wrapping around me.
I feel so at home now.
Sirens in the distance.
I am safe
In my solitude.
Maybe soon
My dream will come true.
The shadows of two buildings,
Cast by the feeble attempts
To push away the night,
Might hold my solace.
Just one step to the side
And frightened cries fill the air.
There it is…

I have my own flower
In the stone covered field.
Maybe now
Someone will understand.
